Pentas 1
With seating to accommodate 504 people, Pentas 1 is klpac’s largest performance space. Designed in the semi-proscenium style, it is the only performance space in the country to feature a vomitory and is suited for large scale productions such as musicals, concerts, and big dramas.
The Front of House of Pentas 1 features a bar and standing room suitable for hosting cocktail receptions or other pre-show activities.
Pentas 1 is disabled friendly, with a ground floor entrance for patrons with special needs and wheelchair friendly seats (Seat Numbers: A1, A6, A7, A10, A11, A14, A15, A19. Technical
The proscenium opening is 14000mm wide with a variable proscenium panel allowing its height to be adjusted between 7680mm and 5680mm. The stage depth, from the proscenium opening to the cyclorama, is approximately 8500 mm, and from the front end of the apron area to proscenium opening is approximately 5000 mm. The stage floor is levelled with the first row of the audience.
